Social media engagement is a core part of any social media strategy,
but so many skimp out on this major business opportunity. To really
succeed at social media engagement, you need to take your strategy a
step further by being proactive, listening, and engaging.

1. Being there actively on a daily basis, talking, sharing and discussing
with others on each media site you post content on.

2. Sharing things that you find interesting to prompt conversation and
bring others into the conversation.

3. Actually talking to people about what they think is interesting, and
not just pitching your products.

Around the Social Media World, "Relationships are known as the
New Currency".

Look at their profile and learn something about them, wish them
Happy Birthday, Happy Anniversary, etc.  When you see them post,
like the posts and leave comments.  If they are not ready to be a
customer yet, when they are ready they will know you and that you
can give them a solution to a problem they are having.

Always engage them with their name, it shows you care about them
and are not just copying and pasting info.

Also remember that many are seeing this engagement and not just
the person you are engaging with.  They will get to know and
like you as well!
